This unit provides the basic concepts, skills and strategies to improve organizational performance through developing people at work. Topics include leadership development, training and development, employee involvement and empowerment, reward and recognition and career development.

Performance Requirements :

  1. Explain the need to maintain an effective workforce, and explore approaches to developing good workplace performance.
  2. Discuss a type of leadership development program, the challenges involved, program assessment and diversity in leadership development
  3. Analyze the development of mechanisms for achieving employee involvement and empowerment.
