This unit is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and concepts needed to solve actual human resource management problems and issues. Topics include human resource planning, job design and analysis, health and safety., recruitment and solution, compensation, employee development and performance evaluation.

1. Discuss the importance of human resource management in building and maintaining competitive advantage of business organizations.
2. Develop the human resources policies for a particular firm
3. Analyze the human resource needs of a firm and identify the legal, social and ethical factors in human resource management
4. Identify the role of various motivational theories, reward strategies and job design in maximizing employee performance.
