BUS 040 Business Logistics
This Unit provides students with the basic understanding of logistics strategies, processes and methods, including logistics planning, customer service, procurement, transport, inventory, warehousing and handling.
Performance Requirements :
- Analyze how logistical decisions impact the performance of the firm within the supply chain
- Identify the main components of a logistical system and describe their importance to creating customer value.
- Discuss the significance of the logistics planning triangle (facility location decisions, transportation decisions and inventory decisions) in the development of a firm’s logistics strategy.
- Evaluate the logistics strategy of a particular firm and make recommendations where needed.
