BUS 035 Managerial Accounting
This unit helps students to collect, analyze and communicate financial and non-financial information for making more effective planning and control decisions. Topics include the changing role of managerial accounting, product costing, process costing, cost-volume profit analysis, activity-based costing and balances scorecard.
Performance Requirements :
- Apply managerial accounting and its objectives in a way that demonstrates a clear understanding of business performance.
- Prepare Various costing schedules where an analysis of cost type, behavior and classification is completed.
- Apply the activity-based costing tools to estimate the product cost.
- Use the balanced scorecard to develop the strategic planning of a particular firm.
