BUS 025 Management Practices

This unit provides students with a basic framework for understanding the role and functions of management and the explanation for the principles, concept and techniques that can be used in carrying out these functions such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling, as well as decision – making and managing change.

Performance Requirements :

1. Explain management, organization and the roles of managers.
2. Examine now strategic planning is performed to ensure long-term growth and survival of an organization.
3. Describe the kinds of decisions you are expected to make as a manager, and the steps in decision-making process.
4. Identify the types of changes that occur in organizations and create strategies to overcome resistance towards change.
